ESL Christmas Game Tongue Twisters – This activity is a great way to practice pronunciation while having some Christmas fun! Write some tongue twisters on the board and get students to try and say them correctly. Award point to students who manage to say them successfully. You can extend this game by getting students to write their own tongue twisters and have other students say them. Encourage students to use vocabulary they have studied before in class on the topic.
Activity time: 10 minutes +
Level: Young learners, teens and adults (A1 +)
Skills practiced: Speaking and pronunciation
- On the board project or write a number of tongue twisters for students to say. See below for a number of festive examples.
