This game is based on the popular quiz show family fortunes or family fued in the states. You can play this game in the same format as the show or you can play like I do.
When I play, I put students into pairs or small groups. I show them the question and then get them to brainstorm 2 - 3 answers which they think will appear on the board.
Then, I write the words the students have chosen before I reveal the answers. You can get students to spell the words for extra practice. This method is a little less time consuming as the original format plus it ensures that all students are participating in the activity.
