Zombie Apocalypse

Zombie Apocalypse

eslkidsgames.com Zombie speaking activity FCE
Zombie Apocalypse is a speaking activity designed for teens. Preparing teenagers for exams like the FCE can be difficult. The materials in the book are not always as exciting as you or your students might like. Recently I have tried to make practicing speaking more enjoyable for my students. This is the second of a number of posts dedicated to practicing speaking.

Activity Time:   10 – 15 minutes +

Materials required: Copy of the Powerpoint

Skills practiced: Writing, brainstorming, critical thinking, speaking.

Level: Teens and adults. Pre intermediate +

 Method

1. Organise the class in to groups of 2 or 3

2. Play the slides below. Tell the students that they must choose at most 8 objects, that they would bring. Ask them to write a reason they have chosen each item.

3. After the groups have spoken about what they would bring and why, ask them to consider which group is best prepared for the zombie apocalypse.
